If a tooth is knocked out -

Remember "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"  - Don't panic !

* Handle the tooth by the top ( crown ) , not by the root

* Don't scrub the pink soft tissue off the root

* Rinse in milk if possible

* Place it back into the bleeding socket straight away and hold it there

* Contact a dentist immediately to have it splinted

If you cannot replace the tooth, store it in milk or wrap in plastci wrap

and contact your dentist immediately. It is best if the tooth can be put

back in the socket as fast as possible within an hour.
