Dietary requirements for Hypothyroidism

Include in your diet:
apricots, dates, egg yolk, molasses, parsley, potatoes, prunes, raw seeds,and whole grains. Eat some fish, chicken, raw milk or cheese.

Avoid these foods entirely:
brussel sprouts,cabbage, mustard greens, peaches, pears, radishes, spinach and turnips.

Begin moderate exercise such as walking or yoga. Don't over do it.

Avoid fluoride (swallowing toothpaste )and chlorine ( from tap water, steam in a hot shower, and swimming pools )which block iodine receptors in the thryoid gland resulting in reduced iodine containing hormone.

Tyrosine is an amino acid required by the body to manufacture thyroid hormone. Take Tyrosine twice a day on an empty stomach half an hour before breakfast and lunch. Dont take with milk. Take Vit A, Vit C, Vit E and Vit B complex.

Eat protein rich foods like tahini, chickpeas, legumes. Eat organic calcium rich foods.

Digestive bitters stimulates the endocrine system of which the Thyroid is a part.

Avoid Sulfa drugs and anti-histamines.

Check your basal body temperature early morning. It should be above 97.5 degrees F If the basal temperature is low, check copper, zinc and iodine levels in the blood are correct.
